Atheists seem like they have that icy cold logic thing down. Having faith in mystical beings? May as well worship unicorns or leprachauns. There is nothing to the universe but figuring how and why random atoms and bits of matter coalesce into us and the other stuff that isn't us. Intelligent design is for hopelessly backward and superstitious mouth breathers.
So why in the most recent Pew Report on faith in America, do 15% of self-identified atheists surveyed say they absolutley believe or they are fairly certain they believe in God? Out of a sample size of 515 atheists, when they were asked "Do you believe in God or a universal spirit?" roughly 80 of them said YES. Self-identified agnostics were even thicker. 17% said they absolutely believed in God. 23% were fairly certain.
That means that about 30% of atheists and agnostics surveyed don't have a clue about what the hell they aren't supposed to believe in. Oh yeah, they aren't supposed to believe in Hell either, but evidently only about 70% of them actually understand the ramifications of what they say they don't believe.
Sheesh, and these are our science guys?

SR, you are a genius, plus you have a lot of good common sense to apply it.
P.S. I hope the Goobers incident has been closed. The company will prolly send you a discount coupon for your next box.
GA Peach
Goobers incident ongoing. I was offered exactly what you just said--coupons for Nestle products. My wife said she would be dead before another Nestle product passes her lips. Onward.
Yikes. 28% of Jews either are uncertain, don't believe or don't know. Can you blame them?
Don't be too hard on us agnostics. We choose to be confused.

I read about your acid trip. Seems like you've already seen God.
Yeah, but I don't think he saw me.
Then, I hope you are okay with your place in the universe. :)
